Digital SLR Cameras & Photoshop Elements

Digital SLR Camera Operation: This is a 4 week class for people who have a digital SLR Camera or an advanced Bridge Camera (a zoom lens camera with Manual Shutter Speed & Aperture controls)  The class covers use of shutter speeds, aperture controls, white balance, metering modes, motor drive settings, and other setting on most digital SLR Cameras.  We also discuss composition and making your pictures better.  The classes are limited to 6-7 students and Jim shares with a very “hands on” teaching style.  Cost:  $59.95

Photoshop Elements: This is a 4 week class for people who have Photoshop Elements (version 6-10) on their computer and want to learn how to fix and improve photos they’ve taken and downloaded onto their computer.  The class is taught by my friend, John Stalter, a Photoshop expert.  The class will start with the basic tools and then build into cloning, adjusting colors, ending with using layers for extensive corrections or special effects to the photos.  The classes are limited to 6 students and students are asked to bring in a laptop computer with Photoshop Elements on it to follow along with the examples.  John also shares a very “hands on” teaching style.  Cost:  $89.95

Pasco Camera Exchange sponsors an informal camera club:  We meet the 3rd Mondays @ Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4651 Little Road NPR (next to the Jack Mitchell Jr. Park, Soccer/Softball Fields).  We share photos with  each other and go out on fieldtrips 4-5 times a year.  Dues are $10.00/year.  http://pascocamera.com/camera-club/
