Friday Sept. 27th: Hi everyone. We had about 10″ of water flood into the store from the hurricane Thursday night. Fortunately we were aware of the possibility of flooding and got most things in the store lifted up out of harms way. Unfortunately you can’t lift carpet and cabinets. There are a lot of things that we must do before we re-open. We will be closed for the near future and will post when we can reopen, hopefully within 7- 10 days. At this time there is very little that you can do to help us. It’s look and decide what to do with something and then pick up the next item. Please check in here for updates. Also follow us on Facebook to receive notifications. Thank you all very much and we look forward to serving you again in the near future. Jim and Annette.
Sunday: Sept. 29th: The last two days have been a lot of work. The power came back on Saturday and we were able to work on drying out the carpet with dehumidifiers and fans. We have also cleaned out lots of damaged old inventory that had been sitting in neglected corners as well as cleaning up lots of papers and other (mostly) unimportant things that had gotten damaged. We also started putting some inventory back onto the display shelves so it’s starting to look like a camera store again. Currently we do not have computer/internet service and have a lot to do to get these back in operation. The computers were off site, but some of the power cords and accessories required to make things run got damaged. I was able to forward the store phone number, so you can now leave us a message and I’ll get back to you when I can. Again, Thank you for your patience and follow us on Facebook to receive updates from us.
Thursday: Oct. 3rd. update: we are starting to see real progress with our restorations! The store is beginning to look like our store again. The phones are working and you can leave us a message if we don’t pick up. The internet and computers are all working. We are planning on reopening with our regular hours Tuesday Oct. 8th. Thank you very much for your patience and we look forward to seeing you again. Jim & Annette

We would love to work with someone who would be interested in buying the store from us and help them to transition the store, to make it theirs, and to build on the success that we have had for another 20-30 years. If you would be interested and would like more information, please visit our business listing website link below: To all of our wonderful customers: Please note, Annette and I are committed to staying here and keeping the store open for our customers for the foreseeable future and hopefully until we have a new owner.
